Yachting at Anapa started in 1978 from wooden birth and several yachts. Since then the yacht club was rapidly growing and developing, gaining authority with sportsmen, coaches and sailing specialists of our nation.
Anapa is the place to hold annual regional, big all-Russia events, races and championships of Russia, Cup of Russia in fanboarding.
Traditional festival of wind sailing and cruise racing of Russian Federation acts as a natural embellishment for summer season.
In 2000 we recieved here a Junior European Championship in "470" class boats.
Anapa has evidently
become a centre of junior sailing sport.
It is our place that is held training trials of Junior Nation's Team, traditional regatta "Mighty expectations", spring and autumn all-Russia competitions among juniors. In foregoing of Olympic Games 2004 Anapa's
yacht club became an official training base for Russian Olympic Team.
In 1981 on our yacht club's base was founded a Junior Sports School, the pupils of the School won numerous all-CIS and all-Russian show-offs. For past years we raised 2 Sports Masters
of international class,9 Masters of USSR and Russia, dozens of candidates for Master's title and sportsmen of first class. Two Anapa men-Vladimir Krutskikh and Yevgeniy Chernov were competing in Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.We hope our sportsmen win worthy and respect for our nation and home yacht-club.
